thEuropean Meeting on Molecular Diagnostics
The Kurhaus
October 12 – 14, 2011
Scheveningen, the Hague, the Netherlands

About the Scheveningen Meeting
This is the seventh in a series of meetings, devoted to all aspects of molecular diagnostics in disease and pathology of humans. The Scheveningen Meeting is organised every two years. These meetings started with a focus on PCR diagnostics in medical microbiology. However the scope of the recent and current meeting has expanded to include other amplification techniques, general probe technology and more laboratory disciplines, such as molecular pathology, clinical chemistry, haematology and clinical genetics.

The emphasis of the meeting will continue to be on novel technology and its consequences for (new) clinical molecular diagnostics. The format of the meetings will also be maintained:  general, introductory lectures by internationally renowned experts in combination with free presentations in dedicated workshops. Poster sessions and industrial exhibits will be an integrated part of the meeting. In conjunction with the meeting a number of business meetings of the participating society and sponsors will be organised.

The sponsoring companies are enabled to organise specific training and other activities before and after the meeting. The previous meetings had an informal and open atmosphere. The renowned Kurhaus hotel is the ideal venue to maintain these characteristics. It also means that the number of participants will be restricted. Timely registration will avoid disappointment.

The scientific part of the meeting is organised by an independent international organising committee in conjunction with leading experts in the field of  molecular diagnostics in microbiology, pathology and genetics.

Wens Travel bv handles the practical parts of the meeting.
All parties involved invite you to become part of a tradition and hope to welcome you in Scheveningen.
